Initially, a complete medical evaluation is performed, including an examination of the soft tissues of your mouth. We check for loose teeth and gingival bleeding. The extent of loss of periodontal tissues, including the gum and the bone, is measured and charted.
An evaluation of the relationship between your upper and lower teeth (occlusion) is also performed.
A complete set of digital radiographs (X-Rays) is necessary. These can be taken by us or we can use recent X-rays from your dentist. In certain cases, a cone scan radiographic evaluation is necessary and this can be done within our facility.
